COCA exhibits the work of more than 250 local and regional artists every year in the City Hall Art Galleries, the Artport Gallery, and through special projects.

We present individual artist shows, small group shows, and large group juried shows.

2024 Creative Tallahassee

2024 is the year of Tallahassee‘s Bicentennial! This year, we are asking artists to submit artwork which represents their interpretation of the Bicentennial and the Tallahassee arts community‘s past, present, and future.

Creative Tallahassee is an annual juried art exhibition of 2-D and 3-D media at the City Hall Art Gallery. COCA shows the artwork of approximately 35-40 local and regional artists every year in this exhibition. From the entries submitted, as many as 75 individual artworks, never before shown at the Artport or City Hall Gallery, will be selected to show. The 2024 Creative Tallahassee exhibition opens on April 5th and closes on June 5th.

The Creative Tallahassee application is now closed and applications are under review. If you applied, please expect a notification email on Monday, March 18th.

2024 Art in public places | EXHIBITION PROPOSALS

COCA accepts proposals each year from individual artists and small groups for exhibitions at the downtown City Hall Art Gallery and the Artport Gallery at the Tallahassee International Airport. A volunteer jury of artists and citizens evaluates the proposals and recommends an exhibition season for the Art in Public Places program.
