City of Tallahassee employees spend their days providing citizens with high-quality municipal services. In their free time, however, many employees and retirees turn their attention to more artistic endeavors. This exhibition celebrates these talented artists. They are "Tallahassee's OWN."
This exhibition will be on display in the main City Hall Art Gallery. Whether guests come specifically for the exhibitions, are attending a Commission meeting, or have business with the City, gallery goers can enjoy the light filled space throughout the entire 2nd floor mezzanine. The exhibition will be selected by a panel of volunteer jurors from the submitted electronic files. From the entries submitted, approximately 50 artworks will be selected and exhibited in the City Hall Art Gallery. Artists will receive notification of accepted and/or not accepted artwork. Images of accepted artwork will be retained by the City of Tallahassee and COCA for promotion and documentation. Awards will be selected from actual artwork at the City Hall Art Gallery after the exhibit installation. Awards will be announced at the awards reception, without prior notification.
Sales inquiries will be referred directly to the artist. COCA does not act as an agent and no sales commission will be charged. Artist contact information will be listed if indicated on the entry form.
Submission of an entry form shall imply an agreement on the part of the artist to all conditions of this prospectus, including permission for reproduction of artwork images for documentation, publicity and educational purposes. Work cannot be substituted once accepted for exhibition, nor can work be removed from the gallery prior to the end of the exhibition.
Please review these dates carefully and mark them on your calendar.
